Wimbledon 2008 Final

Do you have any nails left on your fingers? Right now, that bloody left-handed Spaniard version of Michael Chang is making Federer fight his guts out in his tryst with immortality. Oh well… if Nadal wins from here, I’ll not be surprised, disappointed of course, and if he does, he also will go down in history books on the heels of Borg, becoming the only player after Borg to win both French and Wimbledon titles in the same calendar year. But who wants that? Borg probably… Or Greg Rusedsky? May be even Goran Ivanisvic. Do you see the connection? 😉 Anyhow… if Fedexpress wins it, it’ll be one of the greatest comebacks in the recent tennis history and a lot more. So decide who you want as your winner.

In my case, it is not the liking for Federer; it is rather the hatred for Nadal for all the emotional drama he creates on court! That way, I was happy for the loss of Safin too.

The score right now is two sets to all, Fedex leading six games to five in the fifth set with Nadal serving in the twelfth game of the set.

  1. What an epic five set match by the two titans of tennis. My eyes were glued to this marathon for 4 hours and 48 minutes! This was the greatest and perhaps the best quality tennis I have ever witnessed in any tournament. Congrats to Nadal for taking down the great Federer.
